Keen golfers will be spoilt for choice with no less than six excellent club courses in easy reach. The Hornsea and Hainsworth Park clubs are within 5 miles, Ganstead and Beverley courses within 15 miles, and Burstwick Country Golf Club is less than 20 miles away from Lakeview.

Horse racing has taken place on Beverley Racecourse since 1690 and is a firm favourite on the British horseracing circuit. It’s family-friendly and offers something for everyone from living it up with fine-dining or picnicking by the course.

We should be able to satisfy the keen fishers amongst you, with our two fully stocked fishing lakes on site.

For a day of adventure Go Ape! Spend the day exploring the forest from the treetops using a huge zip wire or leap off Tarzan Swings and enjoy high ropes obstacles in some of Britain’s most breathtaking scenery. Or closer to the ground use the segways to explore. (Please be aware that this experience is for those aged 10 years and over and requires booking in advance.)

The East Riding is a mecca for those who love to walk! Not only is there the popular Wolds Way, but many tempting coastal walks as well.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail is a 79 mile trail that runs along the crest of the Yorkshire Wolds from Filey to Hessle. It passed under the Humber Bridge, which on completion in 1981 was the longest suspension bridge in the world, and also passed the Medievel village of Warren Percy.
